EDIT: There was a typo when we originally posted this. The game actually takes place in 1991, not 2001.IGN has posted a new article with new information on the upcoming Ghostbusters: The Video Game.
Some new info we pulled from the article:
You play as a new recruit to the Ghostbusters unit.
The game takes place in 1991, two years after the events of Ghostbusters 2.
A Gozarin Exhibit is due to open a few days after you start the game. It will probably lead to some events during the game.
Dana Barrett (played by Sigourney Weaver in the movies) won’t be in the game.
An all-new female lead is being introduced and will make a big impact on the game’s storyline.
Some of the ghosts that will be returning are: Gozer, Slimer, Stay Puft, the Gray Lady Librarian, and the executed brothers.
Your fellow Ghostbusters will help out with captures of ghosts.
You’ll get a ‘damage done’ total at the end of every mission.
It will run at 1080p.
